The kettle was a kettle.
It was on the stove because that is where kettles go. The man looked at it.
“Hello, kettle,” he said.
The kettle did not say hello because kettles cannot talk.
Then the kettle got hot.
This was because the stove was on.
The man was surprised.
“Wow,” he said. “It is hot.”
There was also water in the kettle. The water started boiling, which is what water does when it gets very hot.
The kettle made a loud noise.
“AAAAAAAA,” said the kettle.
It did not actually say AAAAAAAA. It was more of a whistle.
The man turned off the stove.
“Good,” he said.
Then he made some coffee.
